Help Us to Help You
Before you call us to help you with your alarm system, please have the following information ready:
- Your account number & pass code
- The brand of alarm you have
- What is displayed on the touch pad
- What sounds your alarm is making.
Talk to us on a portable phone if you can. We will walk you through the solution if you calmly explain the problem. Remember, when you call at night or on weekends, the central station operator is not a technician. In many cases, they can help you. If not, the “on duty” technician will get back to you in a few minutes. We pride ourselves on our speed and efficiency. If the technician has not returned the call within 10 minutes, please call again and let the answering service know. Thank you.

Five Steps to Having Phone Work Done
Whenever the telephone company or any private telephone contractor works on your telephone, please do the following:
- Tell him you have an alarm on the telephone line.
- Do not let him leave until you send our central station a test signal and they confirm receipt of the alarm signal.
- If we do not receive your signal, have your telephone man recheck to make sure he did not disconnect your alarm system’s telephone connection.
- Have your telephone man call us if he needs help or has questions about the alarm at 978-465-5000.
- Always remember to test your alarm to the central station at least once a month.

Going on Vacation?
Before you head out on vacation, please give us a call to discuss your security options. Security Team has a number of monitoring options to fit your needs.
- If we are aware that you are out of town, we can make a note in your file and pay special attention should there be any activity at your property.
- We can also assign a special pass code for the duration of your absence for pet sitters or mail gathering neighbors.
- We can update your call list to accommodate your vacation number or cell phone number.
- Or, we can flag the account for no call back and dispatch police or fire authorities even sooner.

When you return, we can change your preferences back in a minute or two. As a Security Team customer, you will enjoy your family and your peace of mind when you are on vacation.

Tune Your Security System
Ask us about our Maintenance Program!
- Battery Maintenance - Some transmitter batteries must be changed once a year. Call if you would like our staff to check your master control battery. It will last 3-4 years. Change it when necessary as it is your alarm system’s only power supply when the electricity goes out.
- Touch Pad Code Changes - When you need to add or remove a user code for your system, please call during “reprogramming hours,” Monday through Friday 9 am - 3 pm. We can make exceptions, but it often requires paying staff overtime. Help us to keep our rates the lowest in New England by calling in the middle of the day, when we are better staffed, for service or changes in your system.
